Job summary

Servpro of Worcester is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to assess, estimate, and secure restoration projects, ensuring accurate scope of work for property damage from water, fire, mold, and storms. You will deliver detailed estimates and collaborate with owners, insurers, and vendors throughout the restoration process.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years in restoration estimating, and proficiency in Xactimate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of restoration estimating experience.
• Strong customer service skills for stressful loss situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software and familiarity with insurer guidelines.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on the restoration process, timelines, expectations.
• Assess property damage and understand immediate needs, safety concerns, and upgrades.
• Ensure estimates and scopes align with client requirements and insurance carrier guidelines.
• Create accurate sketches and initial scope of work for mitigation and restoration services.
• Deliver detailed estimates using industry-standard tools (e.g., Xactimate / Cotality).
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to validate scope, pricing, and production approach.
• Assemble clear, accurate estimates for internal review and client submission.
• Communicate estimate details, project scope, and updates with customers, insurers, and internal teams.
