Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced estimator for an NYC restoration contractor. The role involves reviewing drawings, takeoffs, and developing project pricing to support competitive bids.

You will work closely with project managers and field teams, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors while maintaining organized estimating files for accurate submissions. This position offers growth and hands-on training in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing takeoffs and developing project pricing.
• Proficiency with Excel and strong organizational/communication skills.

• 1–2+ years of construction estimating or related preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing takeoffs and developing project pricing.

Exposure to any of the following is highly relevant:

• Masonry
• Waterproofing
• Roofing
• Concrete repair
• Building envelope
• Commercial renovation
• Demolition
• Experience with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar software preferred
• Strong Excel, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Local Law 11 / FISP
• Experience with scaffolding, sidewalk sheds, rigging, or exterior access.
• Knowledge of existing-condition and occupied-building projects.
• NYC construction experience is preferred.
