A leading exterior restoration contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support a growing portfolio of complex building-envelope projects. The firm specializes in façade restoration, masonry and concrete repair, roofing and waterproofing systems, structural rehabilitation, balcony/parapet restoration, and exterior upgrades across residential, commercial, and landmark buildings.

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for an accomplished Estimator, particularly someone coming from a general contracting or new-construction environment who wants to apply their technical expertise to the fast-growing restoration sector. You’ll lead the estimating process for exterior repair and restoration projects, working closely with project teams and industry partners to deliver accurate, competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full estimating process for exterior restoration projects
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for masonry, concrete, steel, roofing, waterproofing, façade repairs, and structural rehabilitation
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate building conditions, access constraints, and required scopes of work
• Prepare comprehensive estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Solicit, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor bids
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, scopes, and specifications
• Support proposal preparation and pre-bid planning
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and contribute to continuous pricing improvement

Experience Required

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience (GC, exterior restoration, new construction, or related fields)
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and exterior building systems
• Ability to evaluate scopes, read drawings, and prepare accurate take-offs
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Experience with exterior trades masonry, roofing, waterproofing, or structural repair is a strong plus
