Job summary

The Osborn Engineering Company in Detroit, MI is seeking a Junior Structural Restoration Engineer to join our structural engineering team. The position reports to the Manager of Structural Engineering and focuses on restoration design, materials, and construction practices for existing buildings.

Ideal candidates will have 0–5 years of experience in concrete or façade restoration design, strong AutoCAD and Revit skills, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in structural or civil engineering.

Qualifications

  • 0–5 years of experience in concrete restoration design and/or façade restoration design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • PE/SE preferred

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
  • Preparation of structural integrity and assessment reports of existing buildings
  • Design and detailing of structure including calculations and computer modeling
  • Manage and coordinate projects with clients
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Prepare technical specifications

The ideal candidate would have strong working knowledge of restoration design, materials, and construction practices. Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of 390+ professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation and commissioning. Position Responsibilities:

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
