Job summary

Michael and Son Restoration in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Restoration Manager to lead our residential water and mold restoration operation. This role oversees projects from inspection to completion, builds client relationships, and grows the department in a proven market.

You will coordinate staffing, production, and profitability, while leveraging Xactimate for estimates and collaborating with insurers and referral partners to generate new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Direct restoration experience is required in residential water and mold.
• Experience managing restoration projects from inspection through completion.
• Experience with insurance adjusters and referral partners.
• IICRC WRT and ASD certifications.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to respond to emergency losses outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential water and mold restoration projects from initial inspection through completion.
• Conduct on-site inspections, develop scopes, and use Xactimate for estimating.
• Coordinate with Crew Chiefs to ensure jobs progress on schedule and documented correctly.
• Monitor job costs, profitability, collections, and overall project performance.
• Hire, train, and develop restoration employees as the department grows.
• Develop relationships with insurance adjusters, agents, property managers, and other referral partners.
• Generate new restoration opportunities through referrals, networking, and business development.
• Work with company leadership to grow the restoration department within the Charlotte operation.

Restoration Manager

Charlotte, NC | Total Compensation Opportunity (Base Pay + Bonuses) Between $100k-$130k Annually

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced residential water and mold restoration professional to help establish and manage our restoration department in Charlotte. Our Charlotte location is already an established operation, and we are expanding our existing services to include a dedicated local water and mold restoration team.

This position will oversee restoration projects, customer relationships, estimating, business development, and day-to-day operations. As the department grows, this person will take on increasing responsibility for staffing, production, financial performance, and overall department results.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential water and mold restoration projects from initial inspection through completion.

• Conduct onsite inspections, develop scopes, and use Xactimate for estimating.

• Coordinate with Crew Chiefs to ensure jobs are properly set up, progressing on schedule, and documented correctly.

• Maintain accurate photos, moisture readings, notes, signatures, and other required documentation.

• Communicate with homeowners throughout the restoration process and address questions or concerns.

• Develop relationships with insurance adjusters, agents, property managers, and other referral partners.

• Generate new restoration opportunities through referrals, networking, and business development.

• Monitor job costs, profitability, collections, and overall project performance.

• Hire, train, and develop restoration employees as the department grows.

• Help establish effective processes for scheduling, production, documentation, safety, and quality.

• Track sales, production, profitability, and other key performance measures.

• Work with company leadership to implement and grow the restoration department within the Charlotte operation.

Qualifications

Direct restoration experience is required.

• Experience in residential water and mold restoration

• IICRC WRT and ASD certifications

• Experience with Xactimate

• Experience managing restoration projects from inspection through completion

• Experience working with insurance adjusters and referral partners

• Leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience

• Sales and business development experience

• Understanding of job costs and project profitability

• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
