Job Description and Duties

RESTORATION ARCHITECT – OFFICE OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION / HEADQUARTERS / SACRAMENTO

Please note: The Associate Architect eligibility list may also be used as an appropriate for the Restoration Architect. Candidates with Associate Architect eligibility must also meet the minimum qualifications for the Restoration Architect classification in order to be eligible for appointment.

The reporting location for this position is Office of Historic Preservation in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer.

The Restoration Architect shall be responsible for assisting in the state-wide review of the federal Historic Tax Incentives Program and the State Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Program. The incumbent also provides professional architectural support for diverse federal and state mandated programs. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge for the application of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the treatment of Historic Properties, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), and the CHBC (California Historical Building Code), and have possession of a valid certificate of registration as an architect issued by the California State Board of Architectural Examiners or the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. and Education.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is telework eligible- office centered.
