Job summary

LV Petroleum LLC is seeking Restaurant Team Members for Miss J's Smokehouse inside our travel center in Decatur, TX. Cooks handle food preparation, cooking, and kitchen efficiency, while cashiers ensure a pleasant guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Walk-in interviews are held weekdays 1pm-4pm at 3400 S US Highway 287, Decatur, TX. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking, cleanliness, safety, inventory, team collaboration, and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
• Cook or assist in cooking dishes according to menu specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and proper storage of ingredients.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure quality standards during preparation.
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops following safety procedures.
• Assist with restocking kitchen supplies and manage FIFO to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff and train new kitchen team members.
