Job summary

LV Petroleum operates Miss J's Smokehouse inside a travel center, seeking restaurant team members including cooks and cashiers. Roles involve food preparation, cooking, safety compliance, and teamwork to deliver quality meals in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation: chop vegetables, marinate meats, measure ingredients and follow recipes.
• Cooking: prepare dishes according to menu specifications and monitor temperature and quality.
• Cleanliness and safety: keep counters, equipment and dishes clean; follow health guidelines.
• Inventory management: restock supplies and monitor stock; rotate stock (FIFO).
• Team collaboration: work with kitchen and front-of-house staff to meet orders promptly.
• Adherence to procedures: follow portion sizes, presentation standards, allergens handling.
