Job summary

The Little Beet in New York City is seeking part-time team members to deliver friendly, attentive service from the dining room to the retail area. You will take orders, manage requests, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment while upholding brand standards.

Applicants should have 3–6 months of restaurant experience and familiarity with Toast POS. A flexible schedule and willingness to cross-train are highly valued as part of a collaborative Convive Brands team.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast.
• Flexible schedule is highly preferred.
• Cross-training in dining room and retail space is a plus.
• Ability to speak/read understand the location's primary language.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Receive food orders for station and note ingredient requests.
• Anticipate guest needs and accommodate preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager when needed.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures and daily checklists.
• Organize cash and receipts per cash handling policy.
• Keep areas clean and organized following cleaning checklists.
• Prep and execute menu items and assist with basic prep as needed.
• Assist with seating setup and napkin/silverware stations.
