Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for The Field Burger & Tap at Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, PA. This on-site role requires directing front-of-house operations and maintaining safety, quality, and hospitality standards.

You will train staff, manage daily procedures, and respond to guest concerns while coordinating with managers to ensure a high level of service and profitability. Possess strong communication and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in Restaurant/F&B.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to accurately compute mathematical calculations and use required measurement tools.
• Ability to prepare budgets and ensure cost controls.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervising all aspects of the service restaurant functions, in accordance with hotel standards.
• Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to staff.
