Job summary

Wendy's in Michigan is looking for a Shift Manager to oversee daily operations, open/close duties, and support the Restaurant Management team in delivering fast, friendly service.

You will train crew, manage cash, conduct walk-throughs, and ensure food safety, quality, and customer delight. Must be 18+, able to multi-task in a noisy environment and obtain ServSafe certification by end of training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 6 months or more of restaurant, retail, customer service focused or equivalent experience.
• Certification for Open/Close Shift Manager.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and work well in a team.
• Professionalism, composure, and discretion in customer concerns and issues.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods; headset use required.

Responsibilities

• Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures for crew members.
• Act as Cash Manager, including setting up and verifying cash at close.
• Perform walk-thru to ensure readiness to open/close and during rush periods.
• Supervise crew members and Team Trainers to maximize retention.
• Delegate execution of operations tasks and ensure policy compliance.
• Address VOC issues and assist in resolution with management.
• Onboard new hires in Workday and coordinate with restaurant management.
