Summary of Position
A shift leader supports management in meeting restaurant goals by implementing, managing, and enforcing company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. The role involves taking a hands-on leadership role to deliver:

Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the General Manager or Manager on duty. Maintains extensive contact with all levels of store personnel and home office departments. External contacts include guests and distributors.
Position Activities and Tasks
Ensures all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly, adhering to all procedures, standards, and health regulations. Must be able to perform all functions of restaurant positions when required.
Prepares each shift through planning, inspection, and anticipation of challenges. Communicates expectations, assigns work, and motivates the team.
Leads the shift by maintaining standards, keeping the team positive and organized, and correcting issues promptly.
Measures shift results, ensures readiness for the next shift, and communicates with management about performance, guest concerns, and operational issues.
