Job summary

Mille Lacs Band is seeking a restaurant supervisor to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure food quality and safety. You will manage shifts, train Associates, and uphold high guest service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year restaurant or leadership experience, and valid driver’s license. Training through Taco John’s program is required, with background checks and band preference applied.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year restaurant experience or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain required food safety certifications, including ServSafe or equivalent certification.
• Must successfully complete Taco John's Certified Manager training requirements.
• If required, must pass the company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
• Must be able to pass Non-Gaming Suitability Standards background check.
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations during assigned shifts and act on behalf of management when necessary.
• Greet and serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Ensure consistent delivery of quality food, customer service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and support Associates in performing their assigned duties.
• Assist with onboarding and development of new Associates.
• Monitor food preparation, presentation, storage, and holding procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate activities to maintain efficient restaurant operations.
• Operate cash registers and assist in all restaurant positions as needed.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure supplies are used efficiently and responsibly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Assist in controlling labor, food costs, and operational expenses.
• Communicate important operational information to management and fellow Associates.
• Attend meetings, complete required training, and support restaurant goals and initiatives.
• Perform projects and other duties as assigned.
