Job summary

Burger King - 16078 - Sanborn & Boronda is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee restaurant operations and lead team members across shifts. You will ensure food quality, cleanliness, and customer service while managing costs and inventory.

All levels require completion of the Shift Leader training path and ServSafe certification, with opportunities to progress through Level 1–4 by demonstrating leadership and operational excellence. This role is full-time and on-site at our Salinas location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, ServSafe certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure restaurant is clean and maintains food quality, sanitation, and customer service standards.
• Manage costs within budgeted levels, including cash handling, labor, and inventory.
• Oversee cash register setup and smooth shift transitions during changes.
• Supervise and direct team members with a focus on customer service.
• Train new and existing team members in procedures and stations as needed.
• Complete shift management admin tasks including reports and sales readings.
• Post sales readings and conduct shift awareness walk-throughs for smooth operations.
• Observe and enforce safety and security procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
