Job summary

Square One Concepts, Inc. in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a restaurant server to take orders, answer questions about the menu and food, sell items, take payments, and relay orders to the kitchen via the POS. You will greet guests, provide menu recommendations, ensure timely delivery, and assist with dining room setup and cleanliness.

You will maintain high service standards, handle cash transactions, and work flexibly including evenings and weekends. Training and safety adherence are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Basic math skills for payments.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Must work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Alcohol service licensing or certification required.
• Familiarity with Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity POS software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Provide menus and make recommendations on food and beverages.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues promptly.
• Ensure proper table setup and maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in setup of dining areas for peak service times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for timely order delivery.
• Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards per local regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
• Stay updated on menu items and daily specials.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
• Follow alcohol service policies and responsible serving practices.
• Provide assistance to other team members as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
