Job summary

Dorchester Collection's Hotel Bel-Air is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will take beverage and food orders, ensure accuracy in POS, and warmly engage guests, including VIPs, to uphold service standards.

• Experience in food and beverage service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage and food orders and ensure accurate ringing in the system.
• Deliver excellent dining experiences and assist with guest requests.
• Know current menu items in full detail and accommodate dietary preferences.
• Engage with guests, including VIPs, to ensure the highest service standards.
• Maintain station readiness and assist with overall service flow.

As a Restaurant Server at Hotel Bel-Air your compensation will be $25.00 hourly.

What you'll do

• You will be responsible for ensuring our guests have an excellent dining experience in our restaurant. This will include taking beverage and food orders, ensuring everything is rung into the system correctly, tabletop step up and maintenance, and assisting with all guest requests while upholding our service standards. In addition, our Servers cultivate relationships with all our guests, including recognizing all in-house and VIP guests all to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• All Servers must know the current menu items in full detail.
• You’ll have special requests from guest involving dietary restrictions and allergies, table preferences and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Servers.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
• Our hotels operate nonstop, this requires flexibility from everyone on the team.
• Previous restaurant operating systems are preferred but not required.
