Job summary

Hotel Bel-Air is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support luxury events and uphold the highest standards of service. You will set up and break down event spaces per the BEO, stock linen, china, silver, and other supplies, ensuring a flawless guest experience.

You will handle special layout requests, report any imperfections, and work with hotel teams across varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, while maintaining safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand safety rules, BEO operating and maintenance instructions.
• Excellent English communication and customer service.
• Attention to detail is critical for this role.
• Able to walk, stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down event spaces per the BEO, maintaining cleanliness and stocking linen, china, silver, and supplies.
• Fulfill guests' special layout or prop requests.
• Identify and report imperfections and collaborate with hotel teams to fix.
• Communicate with guests and team while maintaining safe, efficient service.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, to support events.

As a Banquet Houseperson,your compensation will be $26.07 per hour.

What you'll do

You’lllove what you do and take pride indelighting our guests:

• you willberesponsibleforsetting up and taking down the event space during their day.This will includereading the BEO to determine the specified layout of tables, chairs and props, maintaining cleanliness and good condition of all banquet function space according to the programs and plans, stock linen,China, sliver, and other supplies in preparation for each event,all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
• you will alsoencounterthatour guests have special requests involving a particular layout for the event or certain props. Most of these requests are fulfilled by ourBanquet Houseperson.
• Our hotels are trulyluxuryhotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. OurBanquet House personsare relied upon to report these and work with several otherpositionsto correct.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required totalk,andhear. The employeefrequentlyis required towalk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch,usehand,fingerand wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depthperceptionand the ability to adjust focus.
