Job summary

Hotel Bel Air seeks a warm and personable Restaurant Host/ess to greet, seat and assist guests, using OpenTable to manage seating and bookings.

You will build guest relationships, coordinate with teams, and ensure a memorable dining experience with attention to dietary requests and special occasions. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is essential in our dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

As a Restaurant Host your compensation will be $ 32.34 per hour.

What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• You will be responsible for spending time getting to know our guests, building relationships and expanding on their knowledge of our guests during their day. They will greet, guide and seat all guests, while organizing the seating chart using OpenTable. Our Host/ess will anticipate our guest needs and share their knowledge with the relevant teams. This will include personalizing our guest experience all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
• Entrusted with booking reservations, planning events, and controlling the flow of the book. Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.
• Sometimes our guests have special requests involving dietary restrictions, room preferences, and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Host.

• As a Host you’ll have the opportunity to bring these to life and continue to create our legacy.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, and hear. The Host is frequently is required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
