Job summary

The Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village is seeking a part-time front desk/guest services team member. You will handle cash transactions, manage guest checks, and ensure smooth check-out processes using the MICROS system, while maintaining accuracy and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, can work under pressure, and is able to handle varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, contributing to a teamwork-driven guest experience in a hospitality

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Obtainand assume responsibility for cash bank. Handle cash transactions accurately, quickly, carefully and responsibly.
• Controlguest checks to prevent loss, theft or mishandling. Follow proper procedures with regard to check issuance and control. Collect payment from guest/server. Accurately and efficiently count and give change to guest/server. Ensure correct amount of cash is given on money transactions.
• CheckMICROS machines to make sure they are set up to the proper menu. Have complete knowledge of MICROS system (or register).
• Fillout floor plan by checking station rotation chart. Assign side work schedule on floor plan. Post floor plan at host stand.

• Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
