Job Description

A Restaurant Server interacts with all guests to ensure they have a great dining experience. The server's goal is to make each guest's experience positive from start to finish, exceeding expectations and resolving any issues promptly.

Work Hours

Evenings 5pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and adhere to grooming standards
• Prepare tables, lay out napkins and utensils, refill condiments, and perform side-work
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Know menu choices, specialties, and deviations
• Manage table assignments, seating, and communicate customer needs to kitchen staff
• Ensure a memorable dining experience
• Open and pour wine tableside properly
• Record revenue accurately and process payments
• Perform cleaning tasks as directed
• Assist with special events and other tasks as needed
• Answer phones professionally
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and guests
• Bus tables, assist in the kitchen, and clean front areas as assigned
• Complete service-related tasks like filling water bottles and rolling silverware

Qualifications

• Preferably one year of food and beverage experience
• Guest relations training
• Knowledge of food handling and safety
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and ability to work independently
• Punctuality and reliable attendance
• Food safety certification as required by law
• Experience with computers, POS systems, and reservation software
• Physical ability to perform movements and lift up to 25 pounds
