We are hiring a Hotel Restaurant/Food Service Server.

Pay rate: $9/hr

Join us at The Rooftop at Exchange Place, located atop the Hyatt House Jersey City, as we relaunch our rooftop bar, Terrace restaurant, and banquet space. We seek a talented leader to oversee this exciting transformation and develop a service-minded team.

Our venue offers stunning views of Manhattan, with a high-energy rooftop cocktail bar serving premium cocktails, food, and service. The Terrace Dining Room and Lounge provide an upscale dining experience with the same breathtaking views. We also feature over 7,500 sq ft of banquet space ideal for corporate events, weddings, and social gatherings.

We value passion for service! As a food service team member, you are often the first or last guest contact, setting the tone for their experience with your friendly attitude and proactive service. Your responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction through attentive, caring, and responsive service. Role Responsibilities

The Server provides guest service by ensuring guests are seated at clean tables, receiving prompt attention, and that their orders are accurately prepared and served. The server should possess thorough knowledge of food and beverage items, presentation standards, and temperature controls.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Maintaining composure during busy periods
2. Making decisions to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
3. Monitoring operations and assisting in resolving guest issues
4. Following safety, security, and operational policies
5. Keeping a clean and organized workspace
6. Maintaining punctuality and attendance
7. Engaging with guests to understand and respond to their needs
8. Adhering to dress code standards
