Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - The Village of River Oaks is seeking Servers who are friendly, energetic, and dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests in our senior living community.

Roles include serving in the dining room and assisting with events, with a schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Training is provided, and a supportive team environment emphasizes safety and high personal standards.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests with a smile and seat them comfortably.
• Take orders, relay to kitchen, and deliver meals promptly and accurately.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond promptly to resident and guest requests to enhance dining experiences.
• Pour and refill drinks in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, restocking inventory.
• Remove walkers from dining room for safety and return after meals.
• Make residents and guests feel special and well-served.
• Understand the menu and explain selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain professional appearance and hygiene; attend trainings.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.

Pay Rate

$14.25/hr.

Full Time & Part Time

Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 5 on 2 off

11:00a.m. - 2:30p.m. | 4:00p.m. - 8:30p.m.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
