Job Description

A Restaurant Server interacts with all guests to ensure they have a great dining experience. The server's goal is to provide a positive experience from start to finish, exceed expectations, and resolve any issues promptly.

Job Responsibilities

1. Greet all customers warmly.
2. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
3. Prepare dining tables for service, including laying out napkins and utensils, refilling condiments, and performing side-work tasks.
4. Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
5. Know current menu choices, specialties, and deviations.
6. Handle table assignments, seat customers, suggest food and drinks, and communicate needs to the kitchen.
7. Ensure a memorable dining experience.
8. Open and pour wine tableside properly.
9. Record revenue accurately and process payments via cash, credit card, room charges, or billing.
10. Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed.
11. Assist with special events as needed.
12. Answer phones using proper etiquette.
13. Maintain positive relationships with co-workers and others.
14. Bus tables and assist with dishwashing if necessary.
15. Support kitchen prep work or plating if needed.
16. Clean front-of-house areas, including windows, fixtures, and entrances.
17. Fill water bottles, cut fruit, roll silverware, and other service tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

1. At least one year of food and beverage experience preferred.
2. Guest relations training.
3. Knowledge of proper food handling.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Punctuality and reliable attendance.
7. Food safety certification as required by law.
8. Experience with computers, POS systems, and reservation software.
9. Physical ability to perform movements like reaching, bending, and stooping safely.
10. Ability to push/pull up to 25 pounds.
