Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield is seeking a Restaurant Server to greet guests, assist with menu selections, and sustain a warm, professional dining experience.

You will set tables with condiments, napkins, candles and utensils, uphold presentation standards, and help guests choose meals and beverages while maintaining courteous service. A current food handlers permit is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current food handlers permit
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Previous restaurant service experience a plus
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist guest in a sincere and courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction
• Ensure tables are prepared with condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and aperitifs, suggesting courses, explaining menu items, and answering food preparation questions
• Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
