Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield is seeking a Guest Service Representative to greet guests, check in guests, and handle reservations with a friendly and professional demeanor. You’ll assist guests with directions and area activities, maintain accurate financial records at the front desk, and stay informed about in-house and local events to provide timely information.

The role requires strong computer skills, the ability to type 40+ wpm, and a positive, customer-service

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to type 40+ words per minute.
• Strong computer skills and quick learner of new software.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greets and completes standard front desk check-in procedures for arriving guests daily, using both manual and computerized methods ensuring guest satisfaction
• Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, in person, through email and telephone calls, and help guests with directions and area activities
• Controls and records financial transactions at a front desk
• Maintains good customer relations by staying informed of all in-house and area functions to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management
• Aids other associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel
