JOB SUMMARY

The Restaurant Server will oversee the day-to-day operation of first-class customer service and food service in the restaurant. The incumbent will be responsible for properly receiving food orders and conveying food orders to the cook staff. Prompt food delivery to the customer as well as maintaining cleanliness of the assigned serving section are essential. This person is expected to provide excellent customer service at all times and be a strong teammate to our franchise partner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform.
  2. Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
  3. Review the menu with customers when needed, suggestively sell products, and take orders from each customer at the table.
  4. Use proper, approved abbreviations and submit tickets to the cook’s station.
  5. Deliver food in a timely manner once it is ready.
  6. Handle money from customers, account for all tickets and credit card receipts, and ensure all tickets are rung up and closed before the shift ends.
  7. Complete the position checklist, stock, and prepare the unit for the next shift.
  8. Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as assigned, including bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and walls.
  9. Report concerns to the manager immediately, especially safety issues and customer service complaints.
  10. Know the menu, daily features, juices, add-ons, and desserts to suggestively sell products.
  11. Follow the Huddle House steps of service with each guest to maximize shift sales.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Excellent customer service skills.
  2. Effective communication with all restaurant staff.
  3. Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  4. “Can do” attitude and willingness to work during your shift.
