Position Overview:
The Part-Time Breakfast Server is responsible for providing warm, prompt, and attentive service to guests during breakfast hours. This role ensures guests enjoy a positive start to their day while maintaining the high service standards of the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced or breakfast setting.
Strong knowledge of basic food and beverage service standards.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
Essential Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and promptly take breakfast orders.
Deliver food and beverages efficiently, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction.
Maintain full knowledge of the breakfast menu, including daily specials and beverage offerings.
Monitor guest needs, ensuring timely refills and service throughout their meal.
Clear and reset tables quickly and neatly for incoming guests.
Handle checks and payments according to hotel procedures.
Keep the dining area clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout service.
Stay knowledgeable about hotel amenities and services to assist guest inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with light prep work or buffet setup and restocking if needed.
Support team members by helping seat guests or perform other tasks as assigned.
Respond to reasonable requests from supervisors or managers.
Work Environment:
Indoor, climate-controlled restaurant setting with regular exposure to hot food, beverages, and service equipment.
Standing and walking for extended periods; occasional lifting of trays and dishware.
Morning hours starting as early as 5:00am depending on business needs.
