Job summary

GF Hotels & Resorts in Colorado Springs is seeking a food prep cook to support the head cook in preparing a variety of dishes and stocking stations with ingredients and condiments.

You will read recipe directions in English, operate kitchen equipment, and maintain clean, sanitized stations and tools. The shift runs 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some lifting and standing typical for the role; training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Some kitchen experience is preferred; training will be provided.
• Must read recipe directions in English.
• Ability to lift, stand, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Assist head cook/chef in prepping a variety of foods.
• Stock food stations with ingredients and condiments.
• Keep all stations and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (knives, measuring tools).

Job description

We’re searching for a food prep cook who will work with our head cook/chef to prep a variety of foods and stock food stations with ingredients and condiments. You’ll be responsible for keeping all food stations and equipment neat, clean, and sanitized. You must read recipe directions in English and operate kitchen equipment, including sharp knives and measuring tools.

Expect some lifting, bending, and standing on your feet during your shift, as well as the ability to take on other duties as needed. If you want to gain more cooking experience, this job may be for you! Some experience is preferred, but we will train the right person.

8 am to 4:30 pm

Compensation: $17 - $18 hourly
