Job summary

Kijung Hospitality Group operates Ahgassi Gopchang and Baekjeong Korean BBQ, renowned for authentic Korean flavors. The Assistant Manager drives daily restaurant operations, ensures service standards, and leads a team to deliver memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

They oversee staffing, training, quality control, and compliance with health and safety rules, while supporting guest satisfaction and loyalty across multiple locations in California and beyond.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Foodservice Management Certification preferred.
• 2-4 years leadership experience in fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• 2-5 years leadership in a full-service restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Proper operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Follow and maintain steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Create and manage staff schedules to optimize coverage and minimize labor costs.
• Ensure food quality meets established standards and guest expectations.
• Enforce health and food safety standards and regulations.
• Recruit, hire, and train new employees to build a strong team.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Coach and develop employees to enhance their skills and career growth.
• Address and resolve guest complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Enforce company policies and procedures for consistency and compliance.
• Handle money accurately, including cash management and reconciliation.
• Conduct inventory counts, place orders, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or senior leadership.
