Job summary

Black Bear Diner is seeking an Assistant Manager to be the right hand to the General Manager, overseeing planning, organizing, training and leadership to meet sales and profitability goals. You will help run shifts, hire and develop Team Members, and ensure guest satisfaction with fast, friendly service and high-quality food.

The role requires managing staffing levels, supervising front- and back-of-house operations, and adhering to safety and company standards while optimizing labor and costs.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; some college preferred; previous restaurant experience desirable.
• ServSafe certified as a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead and train staff and manage labor.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and supervisors to promote efficiency and morale.
• Oversee shift operations and ensure guest service quality.
