Pick & Cheese at Shaver Food Hall is seeking an energetic Restaurant Hourly Manager to greet guests, manage reservations, and lead the host team across shifts.

You’ll ensure a flawless guest experience with warm, professional service, share tips about the venue, and collaborate with management to uphold standards.

NYC hospitality experience required; ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; bilingual a plus; medical benefits after 90 days for hourly staff.

As the Restaurant Hourly Manager, you’ll be the first face of Pick & Cheese—welcoming, guiding, and connecting with our guests to ensure every visit feels both effortless and unforgettable. More than just a greeter, our Hosts embody the spirit of New York hospitality: energetic, knowledgeable, and approachable. You’ll share insider tips about our restaurants and bars, highlight upcoming live performances, and help guests navigate the hall so they can make the most of their time with us.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Greet and welcome guests with professionalism, warmth, and personality.
• Answer phones with a warm personality and a smile in your voice.
• Make reservations for guests (Resy), verify existing reservations, and guide guests to alternative times and dates for those times that are fully booked. Work closely with our mangement team to recognize opportunities to build guest retention.
• Provide clear directions and prompt answers to questions, always with a guest-first mindset.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side duties to keep the restaurant operating smoothly.
• Support cleanliness by ensuring host stand and common areas are inviting and safe.
• Collaborate with team members to create a seamless guest experience across shifts.
• Communicate guest feedback and questions to management to continuously elevate our service.
• Represent the Pick & Cheese brand with pride, positivity, and genuine hospitality.
• Assist the management team in maintaining standards of service.
• Maintain the Resy Guest Book in order to build a great catalog and increase repeat guest retention.
• Guide, mentor and lead the host team in order to elevate the overall guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior NYC hospitality or restaurant experience is required, experience with Resy preferred.
• A natural communicator—bilingual skills are a plus.
• Energetic, fun, and passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
