Job summary

Refuel Operating Company, LLC is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead a assigned restaurant, ensuring guest experience, food quality, and team performance. The role requires owning problems, guiding colleagues, and keeping store operations running smoothly.

You will recruit and develop staff, enforce food safety, manage inventory, control costs, and collaborate with district leadership. Must be flexible with hours, including weekends and holidays, and be able to travel up to 10%.

• Manage and develop employees in the restaurant and ensure they are clean and neat in appearance.
• Ensure cleanliness of the property (restrooms, floors, coolers, kitchen, front counter, back-office, dining area, fountain area, sidewalk entrance).
• Uphold strict food safety standards.
• Navigate customer complaints with grace and escalate when unresolved.
• Rotate and store perishable products to maintain freshness and minimize spoilage.
• Actively recruit, interview, and staff store to operate at budgeted hours without overtime.
• Control inventory to maintain low shrinkage.
• Complete daily close-out paperwork and end-of-day accounting by 8:00 am; conduct weekly cash audit.

Working Hours: This position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Weekly hours will vary depending on business needs.

Job Summary: As a Restaurant Manager, you will be a valuable member of the team. You will support the restaurant in driving the success of the business. The Restaurant Manager takes ownership and responsibility for solving problems; seeks help from others when appropriate; and is willing to provide help and guidance to others.

• Ensure our customers have great guest experience, by ensuring our products are hot, fresh and delicious.
• Manage and develop employees in the restaurant and ensure they are clean and neat in appearance.
• Ensures cleanliness of the property (restrooms, floors, coolers, kitchen, front counter, back-office, dining area, fountain area, sidewalk entrance etc.)
• Ensures all employees are upholding strict food safety standards.
• Navigate customer complaints with grace and navigate complaints as necessary to the District Manager, QSR if unresolved.
• Ensure perishable products are properly rotated and stored to maintain freshness, avoid cross-contamination, and minimize spoilage.
• Actively recruit, interview, and staff store with the required number of employees to operate at budgeted hours without overtime or over-budget exceptions.
• Responsible for controlling inventory to maintain inventory shortage performance (at less than 1.0% short to merchandise sales).
• Compiles, inputs, reconciles, and balances each component of the daily close-out paperwork as well as completes end-of-the-day accounting by 8:00 am. Conduct cash audit weekly.
• Strictly follow and enforce the Vendor Check In policy and personally count all merchandise received into the store.
• Adhere to the Company’s established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:

• Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a restaurant team member regularly.
• Food service/safety experience.
• Good leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Education and Experience: An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

• Two years’ experience managing a quick-service restaurant.
• Valid driver’s license.

Working Environment And Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Travel

• Must be able to travel up to 10%.
