Job summary

Omni Nashville Hotel is hiring a Restaurant Manager to lead a high-volume dining operation at our upscale property. The role emphasizes supervising shifts, coaching managers and staff, and delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced hotel restaurant/bar environment.

You will oversee scheduling, payroll, cost controls, and ensure compliance with liquor laws and safety protocols, while maintaining a top-notch guest experience and team engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3 years restaurant management experience in high volume restaurant/bar environment, hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate shifts and manage a team.
  • Strong leadership and training skills for developing staff.

To ensure the highest level of Food and Beverage service in the Omni Nashville's upscale honky-tonk restaurant and sports bar, Barlines. To ensure proper training and supervision of all personnel, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures, to ensure the highest level of Food and Beverage service within the Barlines, Pool Bar, Nigtime In Room Dining, and the Lobby Bar outlets.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the supervision and coordination of assigned shift, responsible for overall management of operation.
  • Coach, mentor and develop assistant managers and hourly service staff.
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room. Supervise related associate assignments.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours, supervising the performance of associates.
  • Monitor each guest experience.
  • Examine food and beverage preparation and provide corrective training where necessary.
  • Supervise bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, bottles totally empty, liquor par list.
  • Supervise cost control efforts to ensure the operations financial success.
  • Participate in scheduling within budgetary guidelines.
  • Forecast weekly and monthly.
  • Completing weekly payroll and associated audit.
  • Monitor labor and payroll costs.
  • Oversee the order of daily supplies.
  • Supervise the maintenance of dining room for cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance.
  • Prepare maintenance requests, follow up.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings with associates.
  • Follow up on established training steps, supervise performance, and provide necessary re-training.
  • Participate in interviewing new associates.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Must know emergency procedures (including CPR) and work to prevent accidents.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints.
  • Responsible for reporting all product/service defects, and measuring process attributes as applicable.
Qualifications
  • 3 years restaurant management experience in high volume restaurant/bar environment. Hotel experience preferred. Experience must include supervision of at least of a team of two assistant restaurant managers.
  • Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters required.
  • Knowledge of TN liquor laws. Strong familiarity with beer, wine and spirits; local knowledge preferred.
  • Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to teach employees importance of, and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests.
  • Able to set priorities for the Barlines team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing a high volume of orders and guest requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a valid TABC permit, or have the ability to obtain a valid TABC permit upon hire.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion.
  • May work both indoors and outdoors
