Our Restaurant Managers are experienced leaders aiming to advance in management, prioritizing customer satisfaction while ensuring efficient restaurant operations. Responsibilities
  1. Identify and delegate responsibilities to shift leaders and staff to meet objectives and deliver excellent service.
  2. Manage the restaurant effectively in the absence of the General Manager.
  3. Operate with passion, integrity, and knowledge, promoting the culture and values of Smashing Grapes Kitchen and Wine Bar.
  4. Implement new policies and procedures, developing plans and instructing staff accordingly.
  5. Guide shift leaders and staff to achieve restaurant goals.
  6. Regularly review operations and staff performance to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing performance assessments to managers and staff.
  8. Create a positive guest experience by delivering high-quality service and engaging staff to understand and exceed guest expectations.
  9. Ensure standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness are met or exceeded.
  10. Monitor product and labor costs to stay within budget goals.
  11. Gather guest feedback to better understand customer needs and preferences.
  12. Train and coach staff on guest service principles and practices.
  13. Follow restaurant policies, including cash handling and safety/security protocols.
  14. Maintain the Micros POS System and assist with new menu implementation.
  15. Develop creative solutions for areas needing improvement.
  16. Conduct staff and daily pre-shift meetings.
  17. Support restaurant operations during staffing shortages.
  18. Identify employee weaknesses and provide retraining as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a high-volume, fine dining environment.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with touch-sensitive POS systems.
  • Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
  • Ability to work in high-temperature kitchen environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow directions and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
