Job summary

Piatti Mill Valley is seeking a Restaurant Manager to own the floor and run the operation with structure and pride. You will lead service, manage schedules and costs, and ensure consistent, high‑quality hospitality across shifts.

Ideal candidates bring proven management experience in full‑service, high‑volume settings, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset to coach and develop the team while upholding Piatti standards.

• Minimum restaurant management experience required, full-service, high-volume preferred.
• Proven leadership with ability to run shifts independently and make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Run the floor, lead service and set the pace for staff.

Piatti is looking for a Restaurant Manager to own the floor and help run the business, not just assist with it. This is a role for someone who thrives on consistency, brings order to the chaos of a busy service, and genuinely enjoys the craft of hospitality operations.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN AS RESTAURANT MANAGER

You will run shifts with real authority and real accountability - trusted to make sound calls in the moment and to keep the operation consistent day after day.

• Run the floor. Lead service from the front, setting the pace and standard for servers, hosts, bartenders, and buspersons.
• Run the business. Manage scheduling and staffing against business needs, oversee labor and cost controls, and keep the operation financially sound.
• Keep the systems humming. You're comfortable and active in the platforms that keep a restaurant running - POS, inventory management, reservations, and invoicing - using them as tools to drive decisions, not just to check a box.
• Build and protect culture. Create a work environment that's positive, safe, and productive, where your team knows what's expected and feels supported in meeting it.
• Seek to understand. Before jumping to conclusions, you ask questions, listen to your team and your guests, and get to the real issue - then fix it properly.
• Develop your people. Spot training needs, coach in the moment, and build a team that can execute at a high level with or without you on the floor.
• Uphold the standard. Enforce company procedures and service standards so that every shift, every night, feels like Piatti.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A proven leader who can run a shift independently and make sound, timely decisions without needing constant oversight
• Someone who finds satisfaction in consistency and structure - you'd rather build a system that works than reinvent the wheel every night
• A \"seek to understand\" mindset - curious, fair, and clear-headed under pressure
• Comfortable and proficient with restaurant management platforms (POS, inventory, reservations, invoicing)
• Strong communicator with a high level of integrity and sound judgment, even when things get busy
• A track record of building and maintaining a positive, safe, and productive team culture
• Prior restaurant management experience required; full-service, high-volume experience preferred
