The Walker’s Exchange Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the front and back of the house, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and maintaining a high level of service.

Work Requirements
  1. Oversee all restaurant areas, make final decisions on financial, operational, food safety, and guest service matters.
  2. Adhere to standards to increase sales and reduce costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
  3. Enforce sanitation practices and maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and standards.
  5. Maintain high-quality food preparation and service standards.
  6. Maintain professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and appearance standards.
  7. Manage inventory, place orders, and schedule deliveries.
  8. Perform other duties as required.
  9. Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and equipment use.
  10. Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  11. Handle guest complaints professionally.
  12. Be knowledgeable about hotel services and local attractions.
  13. Monitor daily house counts, VIPs, and arrivals/departures.
  14. Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  15. Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings and legal compliance regarding alcohol service.
  16. Coordinate with the Chef on daily specials and menu updates.
  17. Review sales, resolve discrepancies, and track revenue against budget.
  18. Prepare staff schedules, monitor attendance, and coordinate breaks.
  19. Assign duties, monitor staff performance, and conduct pre-shift meetings.
  20. Inspect staff grooming, equipment readiness, and table setups.
  21. Manage reservations, seating, and guest flow.
  22. Monitor guest reactions and ensure service standards are met.
  23. Oversee closing procedures, reports, and staff sign-outs.
  24. Conduct training sessions and complete all necessary paperwork.
  25. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • College degree preferred; experience may substitute.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience, including supervising front and back of house staff.
  • Experience in customer service, hosting, and bartending required.
  • Culinary experience in food preparation and presentation required.
  • ServSafe certification required.
  • Food handling certification and basic arithmetic skills required.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage cost controls.
