Jack In The Box - ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

Position Summary

Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC), and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities include providing excellent internal and external service, building restaurant sales and profit, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

1. Internal Service: Recruits, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels, ensures training systems are followed, develops internal candidates for management, and promotes a positive, safe, and respectful environment. Ensures compliance with labor laws.
2. External Service: Ensures guests receive an exceptional experience by training employees, maintaining food quality and cleanliness, responding to guest concerns, and upholding brand standards.
3. Higher Profits: Partners with the Restaurant Manager to analyze performance, develop and execute action plans to increase sales and profitability, and monitor costs and budgets.

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking most of the shift; lifting 10-65 lbs; operating equipment and driving.
