Job description

The IHOP Restaurant Manager reports directly to the General Manager and supervises restaurant employees. The primary responsibilities include managing front and back of house operations with a focus on profitability and sales growth, while maintaining IHOP's standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Executing annual financial, marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives as defined by IHOP SOP and the restaurant's operations plan.
  2. Developing and maintaining professional relationships with employees and franchisee organization.
  3. Managing the restaurant floor and engaging with guests regularly.
  4. Handling guest complaints professionally and promptly.
  5. Ensuring compliance with SOP regarding recruitment, training, food safety, sanitation, and security.
  6. Performing supervisory duties such as hiring, training, performance appraisal, and employee discipline.
  7. Completing reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
  8. Maintaining personnel files with employment and legal documents.
  9. Being available to work days, nights, and weekends.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and interpret English documents and communicate effectively with employees and guests.
