Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead a high-volume outlet, driving sales, service quality, and operational excellence. You’ll oversee a large team, ensure safety and brand standards, and partner with leadership to push continuous improvements.

You’ll develop staff capabilities, manage shifts, and contribute to the store’s performance while upholding Whataburger’s values and culture. This role is based in a Whataburger restaurant in the United States.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• Possess ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or the ability to obtain it during training).
• Possess a valid driver’s license with current automobile liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service standards with friendly, fast Whataburger experiences.
• Coach, develop, and support team members to reach their potential.
• Achieve restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards are upheld.
• Model Whataburger values and create a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Lead shift transitions and maintain smooth operations across all day parts.
• Support talent development, training, hiring, and retention with restaurant leadership.
