Responsibilities

# Restaurant HostHot JobBIGHORN Golf Club - PALM DESERT, CA 92260## OverviewSalary Range$18.50 - $18.50 Commission## Description**POSITION OVERVIEW**The Host is responsible for managing dining volume and guest flow to ensure the best possible food and service experience while accommodating the largest number of members and guests. This role sets the tone for service by greeting members with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency, ensuring all reservations and seating are handled smoothly.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following:* Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and professional demeanor throughout the shift.* Address members by their last name and appropriate title or honorific.* Seat members and guests promptly at the correct tables.* Manage the dining room floor using OpenTable at all times, ensuring the system matches the floor plan.* Communicate potential issues immediately to management.* Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and confirming special requests.* Assign tables and server sections according to business flow and guest needs.* Communicate floor plans and special setups to bussers and servers.* Ensure menus are correct, clean, and ready for service.* Stock required items for service and confirm music, TV channels, and lighting are set appropriately.* Cross-check floor setup, tables, and chairs; assist with final details before service.* Log and seat parties in OpenTable with visit notes (dining companions, unaccompanied guests, etc.).* Close out reservations in OpenTable at the end of each shift.* Review upcoming reservations and communicate special setups or requests to the next shift.* Clean, store, and maintain menus and rechargeable candles after service.* **Leadership** – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values, and represent departmental objectives.* **Teamwork** – Foster teamwork and cooperation among coworkers.* **Safety** – Follow all safe work practices and participate in required safety training.* Perform other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
