Job summary

Commonwealth Hotels invites you to join the FIRE Restaurant team at The ART hotel in Downtown Denver as a part-time Host. You will warmly greet guests, assist with seating, manage reservations, and coordinate with servers to ensure smooth service in a dynamic, art-filled setting.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, maintain a professional appearance, and enjoy teamwork. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with a strong focus on guest experience and hospitality excellence.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English and interact well with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Guest Experience & Greeting: Warmly welcome and greet guests as they arrive.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel valued.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Manage special requests, such as seating preferences or accessibility needs.
• Reservation & Seating Management: Manage reservations using the restaurant’s booking system.
• Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating capacity and efficiency.
• Communicate wait times accurately and manage the waitlist.
• Maintain a smooth flow of guests entering and leaving the dining area.
• Communication & Coordination: Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Inform guests of daily specials, promotions, or special events.
• Answer phone calls regarding reservations, restaurant details, and inquiries.
• Maintaining Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized.
• Ensure menus, promotional materials, and reservation books are up to date.
• Assist in setting up the dining area when needed.
• Work closely with restaurant managers, servers, and bartenders.
• Assist with light bussing or resetting tables if necessary.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
