Job summary

The Manufactory in San Francisco seeks an Assistant General Manager to oversee restaurant operations in the San Francisco region, directing staff and ensuring sales, service quality, and safety standards. Salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 per year, with responsibilities including scheduling, payroll, training, guest satisfaction, and cost control, along with maintaining policies and procedures.

This role requires leadership, frontline experience, and the ability to manage cash and inventories

Qualifications

• Three or more years of front-of-the-house operations and/or experience as an assistant manager in the service or food and beverage industry.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to understand and speak the predominant language of guests.
• Excellent basic mathematical skills.
• Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Stamina and availability to work 50 to 60 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership of restaurant staff to achieve sales, cost, retention, guest service and satisfaction goals.
• Ensure policies, procedures, standards, and training programs are followed and completed on time.
• Provide welcoming, responsive, and courteous service to guests at all times.
• Maintain food quality and sanitation by ensuring recipes, portions, and serving standards are followed.
• Control cash and other receipts according to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Lead and train employees to meet company objectives in service, quality, and appearance.
