Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is looking for a General Manager to lead operations, staff, and guest experience at the drive-in. The GM will recruit, train, and supervise employees, manage scheduling, and ensure food safety and customer service standards.

This is a high-responsibility role reporting to the Area Supervisor. The position requires forecasting and managing food, labor, and inventory, plus developing local marketing plans and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws and health and safety regulations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, lead, schedule, and manage staff.
• Oversee drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Manage opening and closing duties and guest/employee issues.
• Forecast and manage food, labor, inventory to control costs.
• Lead team meetings and maintain operational records.
• Develop and implement local marketing and business plans.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
