Company Overview

CyHawk Hospitality, Inc., franchisee for Perkins Restaurant, is hiring a General Manager Designate for our location on the East side of Sioux Falls, near Menards. This position involves performing General Manager duties under the supervision of the restaurant GM, with the goal of transitioning into a full GM role. Relocation may be available. The work schedule includes weekends, with a typical 50-hour workweek. The salary range is $60,000 - $65,000, depending on experience, plus bonus. Benefits include 2 weeks of vacation, health, dental, life/disability insurance, and more. We are closed on Christmas Day. CyHawk has been growing since opening our first Perkins in 2007 and now owns 21 restaurants.

Summary of Position

Manages the operations of the assigned restaurant; responsible for achieving sales and profit targets through effective management of policies, procedures, programs, and standards. Ensures an exceptional guest experience and a positive working environment for staff.

Position Activities and Tasks
  • Supervises all unit management and indirectly supervises non-exempt employees during restaurant hours; accountable for administration and operations to ensure guest satisfaction and a quality work environment.
  • Achieves profit goals while maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures proper preparation, portioning, presentation, and sanitation of menu items.
  • Maintains compliance with productivity and service standards with trained staff.
  • Manages facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security, and safety protocols.
  • Maintains inventory levels for food and non-food items via proper ordering and efficient usage.
  • Identifies and corrects system issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Prepares and reviews financial data, including payroll, cash handling, food costs, and operating expenses.
  • Participates in regional meetings and makes presentations as needed.
Physical Requirements, Environment, and Working Conditions
  • Must communicate clearly.
  • Must have effective time management skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic calculations.
