Job description

Annual incentive opportunity | Comprehensive benefits

This is a chef-driven dining destination with the personality of a serious independent restaurant and the standards, resources, and guest expectations of a world-class luxury hospitality environment.

The Opportunity

SkyBridge Luxury has partnered with one of the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area's most respected luxury hotels to identify an accomplished Restaurant & Bar General Manager for its signature dining operation. The concept serves hotel guests, local regulars, business diners, private events, and a residential community through a broad range of experiences - from breakfast and lunch to refined dinner service, weekend brunch, afternoon tea, private dining, and a destination-caliber cocktail bar.

The next leader will inherit a talented team and a highly visible operation with real market presence. The mandate is to bring accountability, stability, structure, and consistent execution while preserving the restaurant's creative identity and genuine warmth. This individual must be able to recognize what is not working, establish the right processes, and follow through until improvement is measurable and lasting.

For the right F&B professional, this is a rare balance: serious food and beverage, sophisticated hotel infrastructure, an engaged local clientele, and the opportunity to shape the next chapter of an established luxury dining destination.

The Operation

A true all-day restaurant: breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, afternoon tea, and special culinary experiences.

A destination bar: classic and contemporary cocktails, a thoughtful spirit-free program, and late-evening service.

A serious beverage culture: an award-recognized wine program, experienced beverage professionals, and regular opportunities for education and guest engagement.

Multiple revenue channels: a la carte dining, prix-fixe and chef-led experiences, private dining, buyouts, celebrations, and business events.

A diverse guest mix: hotel guests, discerning locals, VIPs, corporate diners, special-occasion guests, and a small private-residential community.

What You Will Lead

Operational performance: own the daily execution, service standards, guest experience, financial results, and long-range direction of the restaurant and bar.

Leadership and accountability: select, develop, coach, evaluate, and hold managers and team members accountable to clear expectations.

Structure and process: strengthen lineups, communication rhythms, floor deployment, scheduling, opening and closing routines, service recovery, and manager follow-through.

Financial stewardship: manage labor, operating expenses, purchasing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue-building initiatives with strong commercial judgment.

Visible hospitality: lead from the floor, recognize regular guests, build new relationships, and create the sense of personal connection expected in true luxury service.

Residential relationships: get to know the private residents, understand their preferences, anticipate their needs, and treat them as an essential long-term stakeholder in the operation.

Culinary and beverage partnership: work closely with hotel F&B leadership, the Executive Chef, restaurant culinary leaders, and beverage professionals to align menus, wine, cocktails, pricing, quality, and execution.

Cross-functional coordination: partner effectively with hotel operations, events, sales, finance, people and culture, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Quality and compliance: maintain all service, sanitation, safety, conduct, and brand requirements while protecting the individuality of the restaurant concept.

What Success Looks Like

Consistent luxury execution across every daypart - not only during dinner service.

Managers who lead with confidence, understand their ownership areas, and follow through without constant escalation.

Clear operating systems that support accountability, communication, labor discipline, and strong service delivery.

A restaurant floor that feels personal, polished, energetic, and connected to both local regulars and hotel guests.

A residential community that feels known, valued, and prioritized.

Stable leadership, stronger team engagement, and measurable improvement in both guest experience and business performance.

The Ideal Background

Leadership experience: 3+ years of progressive restaurant and bar management, ideally within luxury hotels, fine dining, an upscale chef-driven concept, or a comparable high-touch environment.

Full-spectrum F&B fluency: credible knowledge of food, wine, spirits, cocktails, service mechanics, and the financial drivers of a complex restaurant operation

A builder's mindset: demonstrated ability to assess an operation, identify gaps, introduce structure, and sustain improved performance.

Leadership presence: engaging, composed, polished, and comfortable coaching managers, connecting with discerning guests, and navigating high-expectation environments.

Business discipline: working command of budgeting, forecasting, labor management, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and revenue strategy.

Communication: strong written and verbal English proficiency; additional languages are welcomed.

Schedule flexibility: willingness to rotate across breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekends, and holidays. This is a hands‑on leadership role, but it is not structured around closing most evenings.

Base salary: $105,000-$115,000, based on experience.

Incentive: annual incentive opportunity.

Benefits
  • medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with a 30-day waiting period; 401(k) retirement plan.
Additional advantages
  • industry‑leading training and development, luxury‑hotel travel privileges, complimentary employee meals, uniform dry cleaning, and additional employee programs.

External candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The client is an equal opportunity employer and encourages qualified candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
