Job summary

Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants & Hotels in Greensboro, NC is seeking a friendly and energetic Restaurant General Manager to lead our fast-paced, full-service operation. You will oversee openings, mid shifts and closings, coach staff, and ensure cleanliness, safety and outstanding guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have 4 years of restaurant leadership, strong communication and leadership skills, and a passion for food and beverage.

Qualifications

• 4 years total experience in restaurant leadership.
• Full-service, moderate to high volume restaurant experience.
• Friendly, energetic and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and perform consistently following the mission and values of the organization in our enthusiastic work environment
• Manage the opening, mid and closing shifts of the restaurant
• Responsible for daily shift ownership including leading and coaching colleagues
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety, ensuring that our maintenance, training and sanitation standards are met at all times
• Responsible for the recruiting, hiring and training of all restaurant staff members, ensuring that the restaurant is fully staffed with the right people.
• Write and/or approve all schedules including front and back of the house.
• Implement and train sustainable practices initiatives.
• Anticipate revenue/cost issues and manage the timing of discretionary expenditures to stabilize cash flow.
• Identify major revenue and expense opportunities and possible issues.
• Ensure daily controls are happening including completing checklists, payroll tracking and inventory management.
