Job summary

Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a friendly dining room server to assist with set up, transport meals from the kitchen, and serve members and guests. You will clear dishes, keep work areas clean, attend staff briefings, and ensure responsible service of alcohol in accordance with club policies.

A positive, professional appearance and genuine guest service are essential. Requirements include being at least 18, able to multi-task, strong English communication, and reliability.

• Performs related dining room set up tasks
• Brings food from kitchen to dining room and serves to the members and guests
• Clears soiled dishes as needed.
• Cleans all assigned work areas.
• Attends staff meetings including pre-service sessions.
• Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
• If in question, goes to management to review and handle the situation.
• Thank members and guests as they leave the club.
• Consistently follows all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene.
• Do their best to greet by name all members and their guests, always by smiling and making eye contact.
• Always possesses a professional behavior and appearance.
• Held responsible for working all major club events to include Mother's Day, Easter, Club Fireworks Event, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
• Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the Restaurant Manager
