Job summary

Major Food Group is seeking a Field Facilities Tech to maintain five downtown Manhattan restaurants, performing painting, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. You will coordinate external vendors, partner with chefs and managers, and ensure facilities stay compliant and ready for service.

This role involves onsite visits across Carbone, Parm Mulberry, Dirty French, Clam Bar, and Sadelle's. We value hands-on problem solving, clear communication, and the ability to juggle priorities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience.
• Experience coordinating and supervising outside vendors and contractors.
• Strong communicator who keeps managers and corporate informed.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior painting, patching, and touch-ups to keep dining rooms and back-of-house looking sharp.
• Handle minor plumbing issues such as clogged drains, leaky faucets, toilets, and fixture swaps.
• Handle minor electrical repairs including replacing fixtures and troubleshooting basics.
• Make general repairs to furniture, doors, hardware, shelving, and millwork.
• Walk sites to spot wear, safety hazards, and maintenance needs before problems arise.
• Coordinate and oversee vendors for HVAC, kitchen equipment, and pest control.
