Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Cypress, TX is hiring a Restaurant Clerk (ages 16-17) to join the store operations team. You will provide excellent customer service, help with food prep for El Super grilled items, and maintain a clean, inviting dining area.

This role supports grocery store operations and community-friendly service. Candidates should be able to read and write Spanish/English, lift up to 60 pounds as needed, and work varied hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write Spanish/English.
• Read and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to provide good customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot foods following company standards.
• Maintain a clean, inviting restaurant area and service counter.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers in-store.
• Work nights and weekends as required.
• Perform basic cashier duties and price checks.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

The Restaurant Clerk position is one of the key contact points for our customer service experience and will assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant.

Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
