Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston-Willowbrook is seeking a Restaurant Clerk to join our store operations team. The role supports food prep, greets customers, and helps maintain a clean, friendly seating area and service counter.

Candidates should read and write Spanish and English, communicate clearly with customers and coworkers, and be able to lift up to 60 pounds. Food handling certification and basic computer tasks are required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items following precise company standards.
• Maintain a clean and inviting restaurant.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.

The opportunity

The Restaurant Clerk position is one of the key contact points for our customer service experience and will assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant.

Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
